Why the strongest AI video starts as a perfect still frame — and how to write motion prompts that respect it.

Text-to-video gives you less control over composition, lighting and product accuracy. Designing each shot as a still first — then animating it — gives you a storyboard you can approve before spending time on motion.

The workflow

  1. Write a shot list with one sentence per shot
  2. Generate and select a still for every shot
  3. Upscale and clean the stills
  4. Animate each still with a motion-only prompt
  5. Generate multiple takes, pick the best, edit

Motion prompts describe change, not the scene

The image already defines the scene. Your video prompt should only describe what moves: the camera, the subject and the environment.
